Creative Bar/Bat Mitzvah Services

Mitzvah Shirah will create a unique Bar or Bat Mitzvah service tailored to your child and family’s specific requests and desires. Perhaps you envision a beautiful backyard/outdoor Bat Mitzvah service with 100 of your daughter’s closest friends and family. Or your son wishes to have his Bar Mitzvah with only his immediate family present, with chairs in a circle surrounding him in his grandfather’s living room. Whether it’s under a tent in the foothills of Idaho’s majestic Rocky Mountains or in a private room at a restaurant in the Disneyland Resort, we have created unique and special services for countless students. The instructor prepares students to essentially be the rabbi for their own service, learning to lead all of the prayers, blessings, and songs themselves with the instructor by their side on the big day for support and accompaniment.

Students feel empowered by the challenge and privilege of leading their family and friends through their  service. Choose either a Shabbat morning service or afternoon (mincha) service which can include Havdalah. Additional options for enhancing the service such as musical (guitar, keyboard, percussion) accompaniment can easily be arranged for. If a family is not able to secure a Torah for the occasion on their own Mitzvah Shirah has recommendations for Torah rentals both locally in Los Angeles and abroad.
